CREATIVE THINKING FOR COLLECTIVE INNOVATION

Example: Teachers’ Academy

FONTYS HOGESCHOOL VOOR DE KUNSTEN & EUROPEAN LEAGUE OF INTSTITUTES OF THE ARTS ASKED US TO
Develop and realise a concept for the three-day conference of the Teachers’ Academy.

CONCEPT

Cornelis Serveert designed and produced a conference in which form and content linked the holistic concepts of planting, blooming and harvesting.
We took the European group of educational scientists on a tour in a full program of talks, keynotes, knowledge sessions, workshops, museum visits and artistic interventions.

We situated interactive formats such as the Didactic Lab in which speakers and participants thought out solutions for shared challenges in and around Muzentuin. During the Pecha Kucha Dinner all the guests could get inspired by short talks and other table guests.
Also, during the Garden Lounge they could indulge themselves in an evening full of extraordinary performances by young talent, live music around the campfire and gastronomic surprises.

RESULT

This is the result of the project:

  • A pressure cooker for interaction and dialogues.
  • A carefully directed three-day programme with 40 elements, 12 locations, 4 caterers and a pleasant heart of the festival as central meeting point.
  • An ideal setting for matchmaking between the international network of educational scientists and young, talented students .
  • Natural integration of local showcases within an international field.
