Some projects we are currently working on:
INNOVATION-TRAIL MUSEUM BOIJMANS VAN BEUNINGEN DEPOT
In 2020 Museum Boijmans van Beuningen will open the first public depot in the world. This public depot shall be housed in a promising architectural masterpiece and brings new challenges along in the field op wayfinding & visitor guidance. Cornelis Serveert facilitates the trial in which the museum in cooperation with a wide variety of experts will develop a cutting edge strategy.
NETWORK-EVENT: HIGH FIVE #2 FOR DIGITAL AGENCY VRUCHTVLEES
During the High Five-event digital agency Vruchtvlees wishes to unite stakeholders and exchange knowledge about the digital applications and possibilities in the field of communication and design. During the event successes will be shared and insights will be exchanged. Cornelis, as organizer and ringmaster of the event, will assist by facilitating a dynamical connection point for the program with remarkable speakers and surprising network moments.
CONFERENCE THE FUTURE OF TALENT – FONDS CULTUURPARTICIPATIE.
As a result of a four year long research into talent development Cornelis Serveert organises the national meeting The Future Of Talent on behalf of Fonds Cultuurparticipatie. During this program the complete chain around talent development comes together to share scenarios of the future and to develop. During a knowledge-lunch with 150 participants a recipe for the future is collectively being worked out. Next there will be 20 break-out sessions with in-depth perspectives.
A-Z NIGHTS – CREATIVE MEETUPS
During the year of 2017, as was requested by Culturalplatform Design, Z33, Architectuurwijzer, PXL MAD School of Arts, Luca School of Arts and UHasselt, Cornelis will look after informational & inspirational sessions that deal with questions about the artistic making practice of designers, architects and artists.
We like to focus on the top of the bill and keep track off international inspirators, this is why we are part of the program team of TEDx Amsterdam.
A FEW PROJECTS WE RECENTLY COMPLETED:
360 DEGREES SESSION DIGITAL AGENCY GRRR
Digital agency Grrr is fastly growing and wants to actively involve their entire team in how the studio is developing. At the same time the design landscape is ever changing. With the entirety of the team we made a 360 degrees analysis in which both internal as external processes have been analysed. This resulted in a Grrr Manifesto with an overview of short and long term next steps.
CARE-INNOVATION-PROJECT FOR MUNICIPALITY BUNNIK
Flaunting on Manucipality Bunnik’s calendar is the ambition to implement technological care innovation. Cornelis facilitates explorations including an interactive kick-off session and focus groups consisting of different stakeholders that offer an insight into the needs and whishes from municipalities and their stakeholder. This results in recommendations for among others the healthcare-house of the future and a ‘ready to produce’-format to share these insights broadly.
21CENTURY SKILLS @ TU DELFT
TU Delft is doing research about how engineers of the future will be able to familiarise with 21st century skills. Cornelis will manage a project focused on entrepreneurship and showing initiative on campus. Here students, employees and other stakeholders will collectively map their ambitions and opportunities and translate this into tangible plans. From dreaming, to boldness, to doing. This results in ready to produce formats & recommendations.
INDUSTRY DAY – FUTURE FLUX FESTIVAL
Cornelis developed the industry-program for the Future Flux Festival; a playground where the new makers industry and innovative makers got aquinted with eachother in the Innovation Dock in the Rotterdam Harbour. At the heart of this was the How Do You Do formt with 40 sensational innovations.
FONTYS ENGINEERING IS INNOVATING
For the engineers of the future Cornelis developed a bootcamp for the brain: in cooperation with designers with different specialisms – including in the field of Machine Learning, Smart Cities, the interest-economy & 3d manufactering – we unraveled ethical dilemmas concerning technological innovation.
OPENING DE KROOK
In march 2017 De Krook was opened; a research environment and assembly point for innovative ideas where the library, university, a medialab, the city and the business community meet. Cornelis attended to the concept and opening program that was visited by 20.000 visitors.
AGE FRIENDLY CITY
How do cities become more age-friendly? For the national Age Friendly City conference at the OBA of Amsterdam we composed parts of the program that stimulated a dialogue between experts and the audience.
BLUE JAY – FIRST DOMESTIC DRONE
Team Blue Jay: founded by young engineers associated with TU Eindhoven, they developed the first self-governing drones that were used in households. Cornelis supports these developments by creating formats that can be used when the direction in which they’re headed needs a reset (360 stakeholder sessions) and when input and possibilities of future users (the first dorne-cafe) is needed.
FORMAT BLIND FOLDED- FRESH PERSPECTIVES
Cornelis is increasingly using the Blind Folded format: a blindfolded audience listens to a speaker (like Nico Dijkshoorn, Jet Steins or Diederik Jekel) who with words sketches a (future) scenario of images only the speaker sees, and the audience doesn’t. The individual imagination of the listeners is being challenged and stimulates solid dialogues afterwards. This format is suitable for cultural context-program’s (like the ones, among others, we organised for Museum Boijmans van Beuningen and the Van Gogh Museum), but also for innovative gatherings with a focus on scenario’s of the future. In august 2017 also at the Lowlands Festival.
